The Heifer International Project

Heifer International is a non-profit organization that works to end hunger and poverty and care for the earth.  Heifer helps impoverished families become more self-reliant by providing food and income-producing animals and training.  Since 1944, Heifer has helped more than 4.5 million families in 128 countries.  Families "pass on the gift" by giving one or more of their animal's offspring to another family in need.

The Presbyterian Church of Canby supports the Heifer International Project by purchasing chicks, sheep, rabbits, beehives, pigs, llamas, goats, donkeys, ducks, geese, camels, oxen, water buffalo, and cows.  Help us give a Gift Ark containing all of the animals listed above.  A Gift Ark purchases and transports quaitty animals to wherever they are needed most and provides training and support for the recipients.

Pastoral Visitations

Our pastor is available for home, hospital and nursing home visits. Our Church also conducts prayer services at nursing homes through the Canby Ministerial Association. We are open for non-members to make use of our facility for weddings and funeral services.

The CONNECTION Youth Center is a faith-based center established in 2002 by the Canby Area Ministerial Association.  It provides a safe, Biblically based, enrichment program Before School (6:30 to 8:00AM) and After School (3:00 to 5:30PM) each day school is in session.  They are also open the first and third Saturday evenings (7:00 to 11:00PM) with a less structured program for families and youth.    The center is governed by representatives appointed by the eight area churches with area clergy as Advisory Members.
